He also  explained  that those who should be counted as vulnerable are those who are disabled, saying that was what prompted him to reach out to them
Adeyemi  said, ”My  coming here today  is  to fellowship with my fellow  brothers and sister, people with disabilities. In a couple of weeks ago something pricked my heart that have u done anything for people with special needs,  people that we have in Abeokuta south, and the question kept  coming up and I  said to my self why is this coming up, and  I concluded that  I have not actually impacted in any way in a community of people with social needs so I decided that today I will come especially during  this trying period to put smiles on their faces.
”It is these people that should be called vulnerable because they are  physically challenged, especially during this period, i decided to come to their aid to reach out to them so that while they are  at home they can be able to get something to eat and  stay safe.
”Today I am donating food materials to them such as rice, garri, indomie, washing materials, like soap and I hope to continue to do this, what I mean is that I hope to empower them  and not to give them palliatives but to give them what will be bringing food to their tables”
The philanthropist however  assured the  physically challenged persons that he will ensure that he will help in fast  tracking the  bill in the  house of assembly which is meant to support the  empowerment of  disabled people and giving  them more  opportunities as to earn a living.
”The bill is there and we have looked at it what we need is to fast rack it. We discuss it in the assembly and am assuring them of good results soon” He affirmed
Meanwhile, the president of the Association of  Physically Challenged People in the state, comrade Since  has appreciated hon. Adeyemi for putting them in mind, during the covid-19 pandemic, saying that  they have not enjoyed the kind of love given to them today.
He described the gesture as a unusual one, saying that no assembly members has done us this to them, thanking Adeyemi for deeming it fit  to remember them during this trying period.
”We want to appreciate the support of Hon. Adeyemi  for this kind gesture all the times,  this is another one again,  he donated bags of rice, bags of garri, packs of Indomie, soap and other food materials to us.
”We have never experienced this love before, he felt for us because he understands our  conditions and he doesn’t want us to starve.
”We are sure  that he will continue with this kind gesture, we are praying for him that he will continue to see the blessings of God as he has  remembered us today may God continue to remember him for good things” He concluded.
He however called on other politicians to emulate  Adeyemi in empowering them and providing  means of survival for them during this period
The president therefore called on the federal government to include  the disabled people in government.
”Government has failed to recognise us, they  refuse to give some of us appointments because they have declared us not useful to the community, let some of us be SA, commissioners and other  appointments because we are human beings like them”
